I started practicing yoga in 2010 when my friend TK invited me to a Hot 26&2 yoga class, you can check out that post here. After falling in love with the practice of yoga it was time to move from the physical practice and get into the philosophy. I became a sponge for all things yoga. Immersing myself in its history and trying all styles of yoga: vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kundalini, Yin, Bikram, power and more. I signed up for my 200-hour yoga teacher training with the renowned Leslie Glickman at Yoga Journey graduating in January of 2015. My Sanskrit name shri devi provided by Leslie was given upon graduation. I went on to receive my Yin Yoga certification later that year. I can’t begin to put into words how thankful I am to have trained with Leslie.
The training I received is instrumental to how I teach. From observing students to my hands-on assists and my verbal cueing, my goal is to provide a safe space to explore your practice. Creating an environment to push yourself when you need encouragement or a gentle reminder to take it easy. I am your biggest cheerleader and support.
